Summer Travel Tips

MaBelleverlsating-Business, Entertainment, Family-Parenting, Sports April 28th, 2017 |

Most everyone’s favorite one to travel is the Summer. It’s warm and swimming and taking off to new destinations is fun and exciting. It provides free time and longer daylight hours and the fashion is absolutely spectacular. But staying fashionable and looking great can be difficult when you’re hot and sweaty and traveling. Here are some tips, so that you can travel while looking your best this Summer.

Summer traveling is all about packing the right clothes. Though your favorite pieces may be more like fall wear, you’ll want to leave behind bulky items other than one jacket while you’re traveling. Hot clothing can definitely make you look grumpy while your traveling, but it’s also uncomfortable and makes you sweat, which can ruin any look. So what you’ll want to do is to trade bulky clothes or fabrics for light and loose clothing. A great way to travel is to ring flowy dresses, especially if you’re going somewhere hot ands sun hat to keep the sun out of your face and from beating on the top of your scalp, which can result in a nasty sunburn on your scalp, leading to flakes which are so not fashionable.

Another way to stay comfortable while traveling while also looking great is to go light on the makeup. You’ll want to make sure that you’re not wearing any heavy foundation or powders so you don’t melt in the Summer heat. Instead read your full coverage for a high SPF BB Cream so your makeup will stay in and you’ll protect your skin.

If you haven’t found the perfect destination yet, try going to booking.com for huge savings on amazing Summer destinations. You’ll find great prices on social media worthy spots and save big on the process. Look great and feel great when you travel this Summer for less.

One Big Gift

Guest post of the week by Nestor Nielsen

Someone once told me that their family always gets a big family gift instead of a bunch of small gifts that nobody even really wants. I thought this was a great way to cut down on expense and clutter, so I asked my family what they thought of the idea. We brainstormed a list of ‘family gifts” that we could get. They included a Wii, a family vacation, a basketball hoop, and a flat screen with a subscription to satellite TV. They are all, obviously, very different in pricing, but we thought that putting together a bunch of different options would make it a fun game. So, we put all of the ideas in a bowl and picked one out. It was very dramatic, and when I announced that satellite TV won, everyone was thrilled! I went to direct tv walnut creek, and ended up spending much less on that then I would have on all of the trinkets added together normally. I think it’s a great tradition, and will probably keep it up!

We all moved

When my parents moved us all down here I thought it was the end of the world. I spent all my time on WildBlue in Arkansas talking to my friends on instant messenger back in Texas and it didn’t take long for me to feel like things were moving on back home without me. The good news is that though I was really isolated at first it took a while but now I’m really starting to feel like I’m making friends and settling in here. I would venture to say I even like Arkansas! I am even considering applying to school in state but we’ll see about that – I may be putting the cart before the horse on that one. I like my school and the classes that are offered are actually much better here so I guess it’s just a matter of keeping up the right attitude and really doing what I need to do to fit in. There’s nothing wrong with moving, it’s just hard to accept at first when you’re a teenager.
